Stavo gironzolando per casa, ed ho preso in mano un paio di scarpe comprate qualche mese fa, in una giornata di acquisti folli, dovuti ad umori altalenanti (i fautori di questi umori mi devono un sacco di soldi, visto che nell’ultimo periodo ho dato fondo ai miei risparmi per compensare altre mancanze). Queste scarpe mai indossate se non nell’atto dell’acquisto, mi hanno riempito di felicità, reindossandole ho visto la mia gamba e posa cambiare completamente, un’altro corpo, un’altra persona. Vorrei quindi ringraziare ufficialmente Nicole Brundage per il suo talento nel riuscire a cambiare il look di una persona con un paio di scarpe favolose. Nicole Brundage graduated with a B.A. in Art and Art History from Stanford University. Following her graduation, she went to Milan to study fashion design for one year at the “Istituto Marangoni”, a reputable fashion school where many successful designers have matriculated. After receiving her certificate, she went on to work as an intern for the design team of Armani Exchange and Armani Jeans. Aftewards she decided to move to New York as a design intern for Zac Posen. It was her experience with Zac Posen that shined upon her a deep interest in shoe design. Following her internship, she promptly enrolled in “Ars Sutoria”, a reputable school in Milan for technical shoe design. Prior to completing her course, at the age of 25, she began working with an Italian shoe factory where she produced her first shoe collection, which she then showed for Spring/Summer 2005.

Nicole Brundage is now on her fourth collection and is producing her shoes in Italy.

The collection is luxurious and playful yet refined in its forms, textures, and colours, as in the rich yet muted tone of coral red of the soles. A contemporary twist characterizes the “understatement sexy” design of Nicole’s shoes which are classical and sensual, feminine in a frivolous way!
