The temporium

Taking up temporary residence on one of London’s most prestigious consumer streets, the temporium Christmas pop-up shop opens tomorrow on the Brompton Road. Pick up amazing Christmas gifts from some of the UK’s most exciting design-led brands selling their wares direct to the public. For 10 days only, expect to find an array of stylish watches, ceramics, glassware, lighting, furniture, books, jewellery and accessories from an eclectic mix of brands.

And if that’s not enough, there is a great selection of giveaway listed below.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am – 6.30pm
Thursday 10am – 8pm (late night shopping) | Sunday 11am – 5pm

Last week we mentioned the fabulous giveaways from renowned furniture manufacturer Ercol and cutting-edge lighting specialist Foundry. To add to this, book publishers D3 Editions will be giving away a signed and numbered limited-edition copy of Peter Blake’s: Alphabets pictured above.

British furniture pioneer Case is offering a stunning design classic, the 675 chair by Robin Day, while Canadian brand Bocci will be giving away a beautiful 14 Series cast glass pendant light.

At the end of the week we will select the winners at random. The winners will be notified
by phone or email and announced on Dezeen website once the competition closes.
In addition to this, leading British contemporary art fair – the London Art Fair is offering temporium subscribers two-for-one tickets if you book before 14 January. The advance

Above picture – ‘Graphite objects’ by Agelio Batle from Theo. The alter ego of Thorsten Van Elten, selling his own line of products alongside an eclectic mix of design objects. Intricately detailed, this functional art object is cast in graphite. Each one is handmade, beautifully packaged with signed literature and a lovely gift box too. Price £46

Above picture – ‘Reflex Portraits’ by Jason Bruges Studio. A series of 6 unique animated digital portraits which explore peoples reactions. 440mm x 380 mm glass fronted, aluminium frame, white dot matrix panels, in-built sensors.
Above picture – ‘Good listener’ by Natalie Abadzis. Natalie’s unique collection of greetings cards, note cards and paintings will be available at the temporium. Her greetings cards are all hand-finished, offsetting colourful Japanese papers with fine-line ink work and paint; crafted with care, every individual card is a one-off.
Above picture – ‘Hanger chair’ by Philippe Malouin. A folding chair based on one of the ultimate storage systems: the modest hanger. Its double function allows the user to store clothes in an orderly fashion. Price £130.
