Dal 7 maggio al 5 giugno 2007 la Fondazione Nicola Trussardi presenta One Of Many (Uno dei Tanti), la prima grande mostra personale in Italia di Pawel Althamer negli spazi della Palazzina Appiani dell’Arena Civica di Milano. Pawel Althamer è l’artista più rispettato dell’Est europeo e con le sue sculture, installazioni, performance e video racconta un mondo popolato da piccoli eroi, personaggi marginali e fragili martiri: l’uomo è sempre al centro dell’universo di Althamer, ma è scosso da paure ancestrali, tensioni sociali e visioni allucinate.

From May 7th through June 5th, 2007, the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi in Milan, presents One Of Many, the first major solo exhibition in Italy by Polish artist Pawel Althamer, in the space of the Palazzina Appiani in the Sports Arena in Milan. Pawel Althamer is among the most respected artists from Eastern Europe. In his sculptures, installations, performances, and videos Althamer portrays a world populated by everyday heroes, marginal characters and fragile martyrs. Pawel Althamer’s obsession is the representation of the Human Being, shaken by ancestral fears, social tensions and hallucinated visions.
