Dal 28 novembre al 2 dicembre il Mattatoio di Testaccio a Roma, diventa contenitore di idee, laboratori, uno spazio che vuole essere innanzitutto l’occasione di dialogo e sostegno della creatività indipendente e del talento delle nuove generazioni. L’evento ENZIMI 2007, come sempre a cura di Zoneattive, si colloca negli spazi del Mattatoio, luogo simbolo di trasformazione e riconversione dove nel 2008 verrà aperta al pubblico la Pelanda – Centro di Produzioni Culturali uno spazio di 4.000mq restaurato dal Comune di Roma dedicato alla produzione culturale con sale di registrazione, teatro di posa, postproduzione video, ateliers per gli artisti, centro multimedia, aule per la formazione e una galleria di 1.000mq polifunzionale.

Un’attenzione particolare viene riservata all’incontro fra ENZIMI e Conflux, l’annuale festival di psycogeography di New York che sarà presente negli spazi del Mattatoio. La psicogeografia propone un approccio nuovo allo spazio urbano attraverso esperienze emozionali che portino a un radicale cambiamento nel vivere la città non più come luogo fisico ma come spazio affettivo. In questa direzione si colloca ad esempio la SuperSlow5k la prima maratona che, in un’ottica di ribaltamento della logica competitiva, celebra la lentezza, o Theft&Rescue che incoraggia la gente a salvare e adottare dei coniglietti di pezza utilizzati per il contrabbando negli Stati Uniti e abbandonati a Testaccio alla ricerca di una nuova famiglia, fino all’Urban disorientation game un divertente gioco a perdersi nella città seguendo regole pensate apposta per disorientare i partecipanti e costringerli a un approccio diverso dello spazio urbano.

From the 28th of November till the 2nd of December the Old Slaughterhouse of Testaccio Rome, Italy, will become a container of ideas, experiences, taunts and workshops. The event ENZIMI 2007, at its 12th edition and realized by Zoneattive, changes completely shape and contents compared to the previous editions: placing itself into an empty space and trying to represent what there will be.

This is the reason why this year Enzimi will take place in the Old Slaughterhouse area of Testaccio, a symbolic place of transformation where a huge cultural production centre will raise aimed to sustain new talents in 2008. The centre, completely renovated by the Municipality of Rome, will be a 4000 square meters area hosting recording studios, video post production, sets, ateliers for artists residences, media centres and multifunctional spacesof 1000 square meters.

The collaboration between ENZIMI and Conflux, the annual festival of of New York based on psycogeografy, that suggests a new approach to the urban space through emotional experiencies which bring changes in living the city: no more just as a physical place but reader as an emotional one. For Enzimi there will be the SuperSlow5k the first marathon where the winner is the last one to arrive, and Theft&Rescue which encorauges people to save and to adopt bunnies used to smuggle in United States and abandoned in Testaccio looking for a new family, till the Urban disorientation game a funny game to lost into the city and to force the partecipants to a different approach to urban space.

But there will be also the first time in Italy of Graffiti Research Lab, American street artists with l.a.s.e.r TAG. Every night music, to discover interesting and original reality. For the aperitif time young creatives talk about them work. And than meetings, laboratories and workshops.

This will be 4000 sq. large with recording rooms, post-production studios, acting theatres, colleges, media centres and multifunctional areas.
